Fortunately, we make our own ice cream at New Lanark in a range of delicious flavours, from our award-winning Vanilla, to Wild Strawberry and even Irn-Bru, grab a scoop or two from the Mill Café and enjoy a relaxing walk by the Clyde.

Did you know that we spin our own wool? Produce our own hydro-electricity? That Robert Owen introduced an 8 hour work day for workers at New Lanark? These are just some of the interesting and exciting things you can learn about on one of our daily guided tours. Covering everything from worker’s lives in Victorian Britain, hydro-electricity production and textile manufacturing, it’s a great way to explore New Lanark and learn as you go.

New Lanark is situated amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland and the Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve is one of Scotland’s most beautiful woodland walks. Discover badgers, falcons and otters or simply take in the spectacular views of the Falls.
