Upgrading and Improving our Buildings
Despite New Lanark's size, our team is relatively small and a lot of work goes into maintaining these historic and important buildings. We are also working on the interiors, including fresh paint and new flooring. We also have a dedicated team working on new interpretation for the site, however this is very expensive and your parking fees will contribute to new research and will uncover new stories from New Lanark's past.
Site Maintenance
New Lanark is supported by a small maintenance team, who do everything from painting and plastering to restoring horse carts and rewiring electronics. They also keep the site clean and tidy. Your parking fees help support their work.
Our Learning & Outreach Programme
We work with local schools providing them with free educational materials, specialist workshops and tours which contributes to the Curriculum for Excellence.
Our parking is managed by a third party, Minster Baywatch, and there are a variety of ways to pay.
Prices are as follows:
Cars: £3 for 24 hours
Coaches/Buses: £5 for 24 hours
For those visitors who are attending an event or meeting when parking fees are levied, then registration numbers will be required in advance or on the day in order to register your vehicle with the system.
