Aerial view of New Lanark New Lanark Conservation Trust was formed in 1974 as an independent registered Scottish charity (SCO08552) dedicated to the restoration and development of the historic village, which was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 2001. New Lanark Trading Ltd. and New Lanark Hotels Ltd. are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Trust and surpluses generated by these companies are returned to the Trust for reinvestment in the project.
