Roof Garden & Viewing Platform

The Roof Garden & Viewing Platform are now open on the top of Mill Number Two. The landscaping and planting are now complete, and visitors with a Visitor Centre Passport Ticket can see and enjoy the garden in bloom.
Visitors of all ages are equally entranced by the appealing sculptures of birds, animals and insects which are interspersed among the shrubs and plants, or perched on the surrounding parapet.

A mini nature trail is available to encourage children to discover the garden and its hidden sculptures.
Plus there is a viewing platform giving a fantastic bird's eye view of the village, surrounding woodland, and Falls of Clyde. The concept of a Roof Garden was influenced by the ideals of Robert Owen and quotations from his writings are displayed on bronze plaques around the garden.
Visitors can also enjoy the onsite café, the Mill Pantry, where
Fairtrade tea and coffee are available as well as superb homebaking and a choice of meals made primarily from
locally sourced produce. Alternatively, bring a picnic and enjoy the riverside setting of the
village and stunning views.
