Guided Sessions for School and Nursery Groups

Two new guided sessions are now available.

Owen's Schoolchildren - Role-play lessons in the Historic Classroom are a great way to learn about past schooldays at New Lanark. Spend an hour in the 1820s classroom with a costumed teacher who will give lessons in handwriting, arithmetic, drill and nature studies. Pupils will especially enjoy wearing the authentic tunic-style uniforms and writing on slates.

Interactive Gallery Sessions - Younger groups, including nurseries, will find an exploratory session in the Interactive Gallery of light, sound and colour particularly rewarding. Features within this room include ceiling-to-floor musical strings, a silver padded floor where you can create pools of reflected colour and the ripple wall which moves to the gentle sounds of running water.
